The Concept

Dr. Douglas Rudig, a lifetime educator, and his wife Gerri, a financial expert in the health care industry, have had opportunities to experience a number of world cultures and have recognized the absolute need for outreach. From living and working on the Navajo Indian Reservation, helping families through Habitat for Humanity, and visiting various remote communities in numerous countries (Peru, Costa Rica, South Africa and many more), they learned first hand about specific human and environmental needs.

Yes, like many people they donated through conventional means: supporting organized charities, sponsoring drives for school supplies, sending personal hygiene products to remote communities, and volunteering. But, they continued to be frustrated with the model of “overhead & administrative costs” which are structured into all other charitable organizations and with the “one-time gift” theory which is not a “sustainable” concept.

Our idea is:

What could we do to create a new approach for “outreach?”
